“ Came for dinner with my husband on a beautiful July Saturday afternoon around 3pm, seated outside on the grass. One of the best long islands I’ve ever had, spinach and artichoke dip with the crisp pita chips was awesome, French onion soup was LOADED with bread and cheese, sooo good. They serve hot, fresh, herb bread with WARM, dip-able butter?!? That alone impressed tf out of us, most places give cold butter that’s impossible to spread, it was SO GOOD. Husband’s steak was perfectly medium rare, my stuffed cod was flakey and delicious, and I loooove beer battered French fries. Waitress was a doll, as were other wait staff encountered. This place deserves to be packed every night of the week with their perfect location and immense outdoor seating, 10/10 experience. ”

“ This was my first time to the Franklin Roadhouse. I stopped here because it was on my home from backpacking a portion of the North Country Trail in the Allegheny National Forest. I was looking for a nice restaurant where I could get a steak dinner and relaxing atmosphere. This place did not disappoint. I started with a bowl of New England Clam Chowder. I then had the Sirlion Steak with mashed poratoes and gravy. It came with a side salad, but I had them leave off the croutons. Everything was delicious... very good. The service was great. The food was very good. The atmosphere was perfect. The facility was clean. I couldn't have been more happy with this stop. As a side note, it was too early in the season, so the patio/yard seating was not open. I have to imagine that the outside seating makes this already great place even better. I live in the Youngstown/Warren area of Ohio, so it's about an hour away for me. I will definitely be back. Note to management: The one thing I would have ordered had it been on the menu is a skewer of grilled shrimp to compliment the steak. ”
